Green Onions is a health food shop specialising in organic food and snacks, with a growing range of vegan and gluten-free foods, based in New Cross.

Organic sourdough breads come daily from Cooper’s Bakehouse in Brockley; Sourdough rye bread, spelt bread and artisan breads from Levain Bakery in Bermondsey. They also sell Herbal teas and coffees, to takeaway or sit-in. Plans to provide lunch food options are also in the pipeline.

They sell Houseplants and garden essentials, including a range of terracotta pots, composts, plant foods and organic seeds. Locally-made products and crafts, including handmade soaps (Saboon Alee), beeswax candles (Bee Urban, Kennington), handmade jewellery (Clunk, and Iida), greetings cards and more are on offer in this unique multi-purpose hideaway in New Cross.

The secret in their locker is Spotty Vinyl Records – Spotty Vinyl Records main shop, part of ‘The mini record shop network’ sits snugly inside the shop in a corner, selling vintage second-hand and new records. New arrivals happen every Friday.

The expression 'more than meets the eye' is all too true for this little hidden gem: squeezed off New Cross's main high street, it shelters a vast abundance of unique produce and a hive of activity.
